The foundation was laid in 2024, which set a powerful precedent by featuring 21 Savage, fresh off the release of his #1 album American Dream, regional hip-hop icon Edison Chen, and creative powerhouse Verdy as Artistic Director. 2025 Highlights
Massive global attendance and unprecedented scale: The highly-anticipated sequel that was undoubtedly the talk of the town welcomed an incredible crowd of over 35,000 visitors from both near and far (Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, mainland China, the U.S., Japan, South Korea and Singapore, among others).
At the core of the festival was the dynamic ComplexCon Marketplace—a highly-curated cultural hub featuring over 150 brands and 400 creators and artists showcasing exclusive product drops and installations. This ultimate retail experience served as an unmatched convergence point, drawing major appearances from international icons such as Takashi Murakami and Fujiwara Hiroshi, alongside local stars Carina Lau, Tyson Yoshi, and Stephen Fung. Other guests included cultural heavyweights Vanness Wu, MC Jin, Edison Chen, and more.
The enthusiasm extended to the Family Style Food Festival, the dedicated F&B area that featured highly-anticipated first launches from NO COFFEE, Lee Kum Kee and HO MING KEE, alongside the must-try memeland chips.The official exclusive merch was a massive draw, generating queues that numbered in the thousands, underscoring the event's runaway popularity.
Elevated Artistic Direction by Daniel Arsham: 2025 notably ushered in the debut of acclaimed contemporary artist Daniel Arsham as ComplexCon Global Artistic Director, with Arsham memorably imbuing the Hong Kong festival experience with his “ComplexCon Hotel” creative vision which evoked the energy of 1970s retro Las Vegas — a nod to ComplexCon’s storied origins — while simultaneously transporting the festival into the year 3025 utilising his signature Future Relic concept.
Star-studded, boundary-pushing music lineup: Contemporary hip-hop hitmaker Metro Boomin with Migos rapper Quavo, Korean hip-hop powerhouse ZICO, and celebrated solo rapper / producer B.I. Capping the weekend, coveted K-pop girl group members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein of NewJeans overjoyed fans with unforgettable headline performances.
2024 Highlights
Groundbreaking international debut and success: The inaugural ComplexCon Hong Kong was a historic achievement, marking the first time the festival ever took place outside the United States. This choice reflected a steadfast belief in Hong Kong’s status as a leading cultural hub and event destination, making it the perfect launchpad for ComplexCon's international expansion.
Impressive scale and community mobilization: ComplexCon Hong Kong named creative Asian powerhouse Verdy as Artistic Director, as he delighted fans with original merch and personalized special-edition gifts that attracted fans in droves. Over 100 brands, 30 performers, 200 creators and artists, and 18 F&B saw 30,000 visitors, making ComplexCon Hong Kong a smashing success from the outset.
Electrifying performances and artistic curation: Early faith in ComplexCon’s expansion to Asia was rewarded with high-wattage performances by chart-topping multi-platinum rapper 21 Savage accompanied by Lupe Fiasco, OG rap artists from pioneering South Korean hip-hop and R&B music label AOMG, and beloved local hip-hop trio 3CORNERZ with multi-hyphenate frontman and CLOT founder Edison Chen.
Beyond the impressive array of must-experience activities, ComplexCon Hong Kong acts as the catalyst for cultural trends by providing the boldest and most fun-loving platform for brand collaborations. Over the past two years, ComplexCon Hong Kong has brought city-wide, impactful cross-industry partnerships to the public, including McDonald's groundbreaking collaboration with Verdy in 2024 to launch limited-edition food items and exclusive merchandise. In 2025, HSBC One hosted a dedicated eSports Zone where the entire South Korean team Gen.G Esports played a show match with fans. The brand also partnered with popular local Gen Z artists Offgod:Tate for an exclusive drop, reimagining eSports culture for a new generation.
