35 years of basin-side poetry
When Aesop’s founder first blended oils of Mandarin Rind, Rosemary Leaf and Cedar Atlas in the back of his original Melbourne hair salon to create what would soon become Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm, the act of caring for the hands was decisively changed. 35 years later, amber bottles of Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash and Balm are an enduring presence at basins around the world—including those of many fine hotels, restaurants and spas.
To mark the anniversary, Aesop presents a fitting tribute to this signature range—an elegantly presented and eminently covetable limited release.
Raising a glass to history—and the hereafter
Nodding to the range’s year of creation, precisely 1,990 anniversary bottles of Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash will be available at select stores across the globe. Each refillable 375mL vessel is made of amber glass, labelled with a design inspired by the Aesop archives, and wrapped in cotton canvas featuring the same print. And like any fine vintage, each bottle comes in its own wooden box.
In good hands, since 1990
The care afforded to this limited-release bottle speaks to Aesop’s devotion to the hands themselves—as hard-working appendages, worthy of being honoured and cherished.
As Aesop’s first employee, Suzanne Santos, who is now the brand’s Chief Customer Officer, puts it: ‘Daily life is filled with choices—and each and every one matters. You can opt for an ordinary hand wash, or you can choose something exceptional, something that enriches your everyday experience. It’s about intention—having the confidence to compose the way you truly want to live, without compromise.’
